Current Research

Beginning in the summer of 2017, Shonni began conducting interviews for a qualitative research study that explores the intersection of race and gender in Hollywood. She has already spoken with scholars in Media Studies, Sociology, and Black Studies, as well as high profile film and television industry professionals. She is currently prearing her research for publication and conference presentations, in addition to a stage adaptation.
